Mayor Coffman visits Independence

On Thursday, January 30, 2025, Mayor Mike Coffman visited Independence Elementary. Third grade students were learning about rights and responsibilities and wanted to ask the mayor questions. They wrote persuasive letters to Mayor Coffman explaining why Independence is amazing and why he should visit. Mayor Coffman said he gets many invitations to speak at schools, but Independence was the first school to write him letters to invite him to visit.
